Front End Wizard

Back to blog

Hi all, this is a short blog post and more of an announcement. I have rebuilt Front End Wizard and moved its domain to

The project

The project is a small website which lets you filter through an extensive an constantly expanding collection of front-end resources including articles, freebies and much more.

The resources have been collected and gathered by myself and many collaborators through GitHub. I will be actively working on this, improving it as much as possible in the coming months.

Why rebuild

The existing project was a rough and ready React application and it was rushed just to get something up. This version although still in its infancy has been fully rebuilt and is much faster and SEO friendly.

This is an extremely simple React application and does not use any form of state management tool excluding local state (yet). This may change as I add new features in!

What’s to come

In the coming months, this may change as I plan to do the following:

  • Make an API for the links instead of one huge json file
  • Separate the topics into different pages to relieve how large the single page is
  • Work on the search functionality as it is very rudimentary at the moment.
  • Saving favourites locally without login (I want it to be very simple forever)

Please check out the project and feel free to contribute by suggesting some links. You can add links yourself or simply raise them as an issue and I will put them in for you.

Anyone who contributes is added to the footer of the website. I hope you find the links useful and I hope you stay tuned to see where it goes in the future.
